How much does it cost?
2023-2024
18u-15u Black National teams are $3200, 14u-12u Black national teams are $3000 & 11u Black National team is $2400. 17u-14u Red & White State teams and 13u-12u Red State teams are $2800. Local Developmental teams are $1400/$1200. Your $250 tryout deposit or credits are applied to this amount. It may be paid out in installments Oct-March or a lump sum for a $100 discount. Waco Juniors is prepared to run 18-20 total teams. Actual numbers for each age group will be determined by tryout registration numbers. Our goal is to allow as many athletes to participate as possible. We offer a variety of scholarship/grant opportunities. Please visit our financial assistance page for more information.

How many practices will we have each week?
Local developmental teams will practice 1x during the week. National and state travel teams will practice 2x per week; once on the weekend and once during the week. New in 2023: players will attend a specialized positional lesson 1x per week in addition to team practices.
How many tournaments will we play?
National travel teams will play in 7 scheduled tournaments + GJNC or AAU National Championship. State travel teams will play in 8 tournaments. Local developmental teams will play in 5 tournaments each season.
What is "Stay-to-Play"?
Stay to Play has been an increasing trend in USAV events. If a tournament is specified "STAY TO PLAY" it means the tournament host requires teams to stay in pre-blocked hotels through their housing company. Each team must block 5 rooms per night through them to be accepted into the tournament. These tournaments always fill up, and you are not accepted until entry fee, roster reqs, and hotels have been met.

I can book cheaper on other websites, can I just do that?

Your team will not be accepted into the tournament.
I don't want to stay that far from the venue. How do we move closer?

You can book now and get on a waiting list for a closer hotel. Most are reserved in large blocks for the host clubs. The rooms become available as rooms are dropped from the reservation.
