FAQ's
How many practices will we have each week?
National (black) and regional (red) teams will practice 2x per week. One during the week, and one on the weekend to help those families involved in other activities to participate. Local (white) teams will practice once a week.
How many tournaments will we play?
National travel teams (black) will play in 8 scheduled tournaments, including one out of state in 15-18's, and an additional GJNC or AAU National Championship if a bid is earned (not included). Regional travel teams (red) will play in 8 tournaments all in state and an additional GJNC or AAU National Championship if a bid is earned (not included). Local (white) will play in 5 tournaments. All 12u-14u stay in state to avoid the cost of traveling at such a young age.
What is the cost at WJVC?
As a nonprofit, we work hard to keep dues as low as possible.
- 12U-14U Black and Red teams: $2,900
- 12U White: $1,600
- 15U-18U Black teams: $3,300
- 15U-16U Red teams: $2,900
There is a $400 deposit due when accepting your position. The balance may either be paid in full for a $100 discount or paid out over 6 months from Nov-Apr in equal installments through Crossbar.
Is there help financially?
YES! About 1/3 of the program does sponsorships, fundraising, or is involved in our work program to help offset the cost. See our financial aid page for more information.
What is "Stay-to-Play"?
Stay to Play has been an increasing trend in USAV events. If a tournament is specified "STAY TO PLAY" it means the tournament host requires teams to stay in pre-blocked hotels through their housing company. Each team must block 5 rooms per night through them to be accepted into the tournament. These tournaments always fill up, and you are not accepted until entry fee, roster reqs, and hotels have been met.

The hotel I want to stay in is not on the list?
- You may contact EM2 Housing for updates at 800-603-0917. They normally tell you to chose from those available.
I can book cheaper on other websites, can I just do that?
- Your team will not be accepted into the tournament.
I don't want to stay that far from the venue. How do we move closer?
- You can book now and get on a waiting list for a closer hotel. Most are reserved in large blocks for the host clubs. The rooms become available as rooms are dropped from the reservation.
What is "Stay-to-Save"?
Stay to save: not required booking-the housing company EM2 will provide links with contracted rates at nearby hotels but there is no requirement to use them, they will be available for your convenience.
